Casting a spotlight on one of my favourite wine bars - Bar Copains.

“Your friendly neighbourhood wine bar” really rings true. Bar Copains has become my go-to since moving to Sydney. Based in Surry Hills, welcoming walk-ins, offering alfresco dining, a delicious menu, AND good wine, there is nothing to complain about.

Not all bread and butter is made equal! Bar Copains knows just how it should be - a thick cut slice of AP Bakery sourdough with a lob of butter. To the waiter who gave a knowing nod instead of judging me when I asked for extra butter before even attempting to use what he had given me - a gold star for you sir.

My new ride or die is their King George Whiting Sandwich. You don’t understand (unless you do), this is the best sandwich to touch my lips. At $28 a pop, you can’t go crazy, but it’s a special little treat to have a fish sanga and a glass [read: bottle] of wine in the sun with your pals!

I HIGHLY recommend that you see for yourself.
